LIVING IN BIBLE TIMES

Did you ever think that we would live in Biblical times? We all wonder about the future, especially when we have financial or other personal problems and the global news is so gloomy. And, its true, that in the face of worsening conditions it’s possible to become terrified and paranoid.

But God has not left us in the dark! Amazingly, more than a quarter of the Bible is devoted to prophecy! Why has God revealed so much about the future? Because He wants His followers to become spiritually prepared and to thereby also have peace of mind.

Jesus told his disciples, “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.1 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Lk. 21:29-31

This Sunday I will be giving a CURRENT EVENTS BRIEFING. We’ll take some time to consider what’s going on in our world and what the Bible has to say about it.  No question about it, there’s much that’s happening.  Should we stay informed?  Absolutely.

Jesus confronted the Pharisees about the fact that they could look at the sky and forecast the weather that would be upon them, but that they were not paying attention to the things around them that were spoke about in their scriptures.  Let’s not be like them.  In Matthew 24-25 Jesus gave numerous admonitions to stay alert, be watchful, and know about the future.

These things will help us to pray with more insight as we understand our times and what is really happening.  I promise you, this Sunday will be very insightful. It’s going to be great to be back with you.

I can’t wait to see you!

 Loving You and Him,
