Decisions and Their Power
January 19, 2022 6:48 PM
“I say to myself that hate is too great a burden to bear. I have decided to love.” – MLK Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of faith, a man of the Christian faith. And from his faith, he decided to speak and act on his Christian beliefs. What a decision that was. His words and actions, motivated by his faith, inspired millions of people to also make decisions in their lives as well. And these millions of decisions changed reality for everyone in the United States. Decisions are like that. Decisions are powerful. Decisions change reality, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.
What decisions do you wish to make that will change your reality for the better? A decision to not yell today. A decision to not spend money today. A decision to pray for them while I go for a walk. A decision to create that boundary, learn that skill, limit social media, or organize the pantry. A decision to take my family camping, or to the ocean, or to church. All decisions change realities and hopefully, you decide to make some for the better.
