...is our response, both personal and corporate, to God for who He is and what He has done, expressed in and by the things we say and the way we live.—Louie Giglio
“The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; His love endures forever.’ Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God” (2 Chronicles 5:13).
“I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving” (Psalm 69:30).
“My hearts leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song” (Psalm 28:7).
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord” (Psalm 40:3).
“Sing to the LORD, you saints of His, praise His holy name…You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give You thanks forever” (Psalm 30:4, 11-12)
“Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs” (Psalm 100:2).
“Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous, it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy” (Psalm 33:1-3)
Our purpose is to edify the Body of Christ through the leadership of worship as well as to provide a place of expression for those He has gifted. This includes people who assist us in worship, including artists, dancers, actors, sound, media, and lighting, as well as musicians.
Participation in our Worship Ministry is diverse and open to all, Grade 6 and older, who demonstrate faithfulness to the mission and leadership of our church. Deer Flat has the unique opportunity to serve the church with two different worship styles, both Traditional and Contemporary. The Traditional Worship service includes a choir as well as an orchestra, led by our Heritage Worship Pastor Carol Whitbeck. Other instruments may be used as well as per requested. Our Contemporary Worship service consists of vocalists and instrumentalists who rotate on a week by week basis. A typical group on a Sunday morning consists of 2-3 vocalists, drums, 2 guitars, bass and keyboard, and is led by our Worship Pastor Jason Leist. It is our hope to see God’s people engage in a time of worship through freedom of expression. Our desire is to facilitate the development of musicians for both services in our worship ministry and to do so from within our local Church body.

DRAMA & ARTISTS
Jesus had a special way of making a point--through parables, stories. Drama is a way for us to tell a story. Every Christmas our choir, actors, and orchestra join together to tell a story of hope and love. At other times of the year, actors are a part of seasonal and special services. Artists, too, can have a place of ministry by expressing their creativity through their chosen mediums. Contact Worship Pastor Carol Whitbeck for more information.
