ISRAEL UPDATE

I hope this note finds you praying and lifting Israel in your prayers.  I was privileged to be invited to a briefing given by Col. Dan Tirza.  He is a very key player right now with the IDF.  He was the one person charged with creating the security barrier that Israel instituted back in 2000. Since then, he works with a core group of strategists that think through various things for the Israeli Army.  Also, how Israel can best deal with the International community.

Here’s some highlights of what he shared…

  • What took place with the Hamas attack at the various communities in Southern Israel and the devastation that was done, the word, “inhumane” isn’t adequate to really capture the horrendous, merciless and ruthless acts they found when they went to help out at these places. “Beyond human” is what he described. Bodies had been targeted with explosives to blow up when 1st responders would arrive to see who all had been killed.
  • Hamas had been trained 5-6 years for these attacks by Iran. They were well informed – How many houses, where the elderly lived, where the medical clinics were located and parks. They knew the layout of the Kibbutz or community.
  • The Orders given for the attack were passed among the Hamas operatives by word of mouth, by Hamas operatives riding bicycles, not by phone, text, email or any technology. This contributed to their ability to take the IDF by surprise.
  • They know of 200 hostages for sure and suspect more.
  • Hamas is working to keep the Palestinian people from leaving Gaza, and they are working to keep them there and use them for human shields. There are various check points that people must pass through in order to leave, if allowed.  Israeli helicopters went in a eliminated the check points so that the civilians who want to leave have no barriers.
  • He quoted the words of Prime Minister, Golda Meir, We can forgive [the Arabs] for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with [the Arabs] when they love their children more than they hate us…”
  • Iran and, Hezbollah its proxy, are baiting Israel in the north to engage in war. Iran wants a war in Lebanon rather than in Iran.  A number of villages in N. Israel have been evacuated.
  • The Egyptians have no interest in allowing the Palestinian people into Egypt. They believe that they can help care for the needs of the people as they are kept in S. Gaza. Many cargo containers are being brought in with food and supplies to care for the Palestinian people.
  • Iranian spies infiltrated the American Government and were working at the State Dept., and the Pentagon. They say that they obtained access to sensitive US Government information. They were all hired under the recommendation of Robert Malley, who was the chief negotiator for the Obama Administration in the Iran Deal.
  • A faulty rocket fired by Hamas is what created the major destruction and death at a hospital in Gaza. Hamas claimed that it was an Israeli airstrike that had caused this, however Israel gave ample proof that it was not the IDF that caused this, but rather Hamas itself.

Please share this email with friends and family.  It’s helpful information, but certainly not uplifting.  However, I remind you that the God of Israel is not pacing heaven’s floor wondering, “What am I going to do about Israel?”  He’s working all things together for the return of Messiah, and, what a day that will be!  Maranatha!   Keep up the prayers.
